Police have charged a man following a pedestrian being struck in a crash at Loganlea on Tuesday, February 18.
At approximately 5.40pm, an unregistered trailbike travelling north on Kingston Road collided with a pedestrian at the intersection of Kingston Road and Battle Street.
It will be alleged the trailbike failed to remain on scene.
This afternoon, February 20, a 21-year-old man came forward and surrendered himself into police custody at Beenleigh.
He has been charged with six offences including dangerous operation of vehicle causing grievous bodily harm, failing to remain at incident and render assistance, operation of a motor vehicle without a licence, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and use of unregistered/uninsured vehicle.
He is expected to appear before Beenleigh Magistrates Court on April 1.
The pedestrian, a 25-year-old Kingston man, was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious life-threatening injuries, and remains in an induced coma.
