A 32-year-old man has been charged following ongoing investigations into a number of dangerous driving incidents in Gympie.
It will be alleged shortly after 11pm on Saturday, 7 September, a silver Kia Carnival van was driving north on Duke Street, near the intersection with Iron Street, when it veered onto a footpath and struck a 45-year-old male pedestrian.
The pedestrian was able to walk to his home a short distance away where he called triple zero.
He was transported to Gympie Hospital a short time later with non-life-threatening injuries.
It will be further alleged around 11.30am Sunday, 8 September, a 43-year-old man was riding an e-bike north on Lawrence Street when a white Nissan X-Trail intentionally swerved towards the bike, knocking the man off his bike.
The Nissan then left the scene.
The victim was not physically injured.
Following ongoing investigations and an appeal for information from the public, officers attended a Norman Street residence on Saturday, 19 September, where they located a 32-year-old Gympie man, the alleged driver of both the Kia and Nissan, and a 33-year-old Childers woman.
The woman, who is alleged to have been a passenger in the Kia during the incident on 7 September, was charged with one count of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.
She is due to appear in Gympie Magistrates Court on 26 October.
The man was charged with 13 offences including one count each of acts intending to cause grievous bodily harm, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, three counts of unlicenced driving and other offences.
He is due to appear in Gympie Magistrates Court tomorrow, 21 September.
