The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash in Jimboomba on Monday, February 17.

At approximately 12.35pm, police were called to the intersection of Edelsten Road and Amber Crescent, following reports of a single vehicle traffic crash.

Initial investigations indicate a silver Nissan Patrol was travelling in a westerly direction on Amber Crescent, before travelling through the t-intersection and crashing into a retaining wall.

The driver and sole occupant of the Nissan Patrol, a 62-year-old man from Jimboomba passed away at the scene.

Investigations into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
