The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a fatal two vehicle traffic crash at Warwick overnight, December 6.

Initial investigations indicate that at around 7:10pm, a 2021 Kia Sportage and a 1999 Nissan Patrol have collided at the intersection of East Street and Pratten Street.

A passenger in the Kia, A 29-year-old Warwick woman, sustained critical injuries and was later declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Kia, a 40-year-old Warwick man, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital for treatment.

The other occupants of the Kia, a 5-year-old girl, a 3-year-old girl, a 1-year-old girl, were all transported to Warwick Hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the Nissan, a 25-year-old Warwick man, was also taken to Warwick Hospital for treatment.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or may have relevant dashcam or CCTV footage, to come forward.
