Two men have been charged following investigations into an incident where a man was injured during the alleged theft of a vehicle in Earlville on Saturday, 4 October.

A 25-year-old Earlville man has been charged with armed robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, dangerous operation of a vehicle causing grievous bodily harm, driving without a licence, driver fail to remain at incident and render assistance and obstruct police officer.

A 55-year-old Earlville man has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, receiving tainted property and obstruct police.

Both are expected to have matters heard in the Cairns Magistrates Court today.
