Innisfail Police will prepare a report for the Coroner following a fatal aviation incident at Mena Creek yesterday, July 7.

Emergency services were called to Polich Road just before 5.40pm, following reports a 63-year-old Utchee Creek man sustained injuries in a paragliding incident.

The man sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Cairns Hospital however passed away during transit.

Investigations are continuing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
