Two men have been charged after allegedly escaping a Townsville correctional facility last night, May 7.

The 21-year-old man and 35-year-old man were both taken into custody at different locations today.

The 35-year-old has been charged with one count each of escape by person in lawful custody and contravention of a domestic violence order.

He is expected to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court tomorrow, May 8.
