Police are investigating a serious traffic crash in Glenvale tonight, May 1.

Initial investigations indicate around 6.25pm, a Mazda 6 collided with a cyclist at a roundabout at the intersection of Hursley Road and McDougal Street.

The cyclist, a teenage boy, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Toowoomba Hospital.

The driver of the vehicle, a 46-year-old man, was not physically injured.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations into the circumstances of the crash are underway.
