The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a traffic crash in Sippy Downs yesterday, March 27.

Emergency services were called to the eastbound lanes of the Sunshine Motorway, just before the Kawana Way off ramp, around 8.50am to reports of a crash involving a motorbike and a car.

The rider of the motorbike, a 22-year-old Nirimba man, was transported to hospital in a critical condition.

The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 35-year-old Maroochydore woman, was not physically injured.

Anyone who witnessed or has vision of the crash or the moments leading up to the crash is urged to contact police.
