First Nations police officers fear the ancient craft of tracking could soon be lost. As technology continues to evolve, tracking skills are not called on as frequently for police investigations. Many hope the craft can be preserved, with current community constables determined to pass their knowledge to the next generation.

For decades, First Nation’s trackers have been assisting outback police, solving crimes and finding lost people. But now, some worry these skills aren’t being passed down through the generations, and will soon be lost to time.
