“Major crime and western district CIB are investigating the matter,” she said.

Matt Carr, who lives in the area, said he heard sirens when he woke up and when he went outside “there was a bit of activity going on out the front”.

“You don’t expect to wake up to that in your front yard on a Sunday morning,” he said.

Kyla Vrmeulen said she had lived on the street for 14 years and it was usually a quiet area.

She said she was “pretty shocked” to hear that someone had died.

“That’s actually quite sad,” she said.
