A man was left fighting for life and a woman was also rushed to hospital with burns after a fire at a house in suburban Adelaide on Monday evening.
The house at Royal Park was destroyed by the blaze, which remains under investigation by police.
Firefighters were called to the scene about 6:30pm.
A 39-year-old man who suffered serious burns was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a life-threatening condition.
A 39-year-old woman also suffered burns and was also taken to hospital by ambulance.
“[Metropolitan Fire Service] crews managed to prevent the fire spreading to neighbouring properties,” SA Police said.
Fire cause investigators and detectives have attended the scene, and police have said investigations are ongoing.
