Service station staff were bound with cable ties for about an hour during a robbery in Adelaide’s north early this morning, police say.

Police said three men entered a service station on Port Wakefield Highway in Bolivar at about 1am.
Senior Constable Matt Brown said one man was armed with a crowbar and stole cash and cigarettes.
“Staff members were restrained with cable ties whilst the men attempted to break into a safe using a concrete cutter,” he told ABC Radio Adelaide.
“About an hour later, members of the public arrived at the service station and disturbed the suspects who took off through the rear of the building and left in a gunmetal grey-coloured Holden Statesman sedan, which was last seen heading south on Port Wakefield Highway.”
Senior Constable Brown said police searched the area but have yet to locate the suspects.
SA Police said the suspects were wearing dark jumpers and pants with dark cloth face coverings and put on high-vis vests when they entered the service station.
