Police are appealing for potential key witnesses to a shooting in Adelaide’s north earlier this month to come forward.

Key points:

  • A man was reportedly assaulted by two others, one who allegedly had a firearm, on August 8
  • SA Police believe a rideshare driver and tradespeople may be able to provide key information
  • Police are also seeking dashcam footage from anyone in the area at the time

SA Police said officers were called to Midway Road at Elizabeth Park at about 5:15pm on Tuesday, August 8, after reports of two men assaulting another man near Innes Street.

“It was reported that one man was in possession of a firearm, which was discharged towards the victim,” police said in a statement.

A 23-year-old man sustained minor facial injuries but did not require medical treatment.

Two men, aged 28 and 40, were arrested and face charges of aggravated robbery and discharging a firearm.

They have both been remanded in custody.

SA Police said detectives believed the two men had been passengers of a white Toyota Camry sedan, possibly a rideshare car, and urged the driver — who was not believed to be involved in the incident — to contact Crime Stoppers.

Police said witnesses said there were a couple of white vans with trailers, presumed to belong to tradespeople, parked outside a nearby house.

“These workers may have seen the suspects on foot or the white Toyota drive past this property immediately after the incident,” SA Police said in a statement.

Police urged anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers.
