A woman has died after being struck by a bus in Adelaide’s CBD.

South Australian Police said the bus hit the pedestrian on Grenfell Street just after 7:30pm yesterday.

The 68-year-old woman from Western Australia died at the scene.

Grenfell Street was closed to traffic from King William Street to Pulteney Street but has since been reopened.

The woman’s death brings the number of lives lost on South Australian roads this year to 48, compared to 26 at the same time last year.
