Two men have been charged with the attempted murder of a woman who was allegedly stabbed and forced into a car in a shopping centre car park in Adelaide’s north this morning.

Witnesses reported seeing the woman being stabbed and then forced into a red Holden Cruze by a group of people at Sefton Park Plaza on Main North Road just before 8:00am.

Police described the attack as a “domestic incident” and said the people involved were known to each other.

After being called to the scene, officers went to a house in nearby Blair Athol where they found the 21-year-old woman with serious stab wounds to her abdomen.

She was taken by ambulance to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Two men, aged 56 and 28, from Blair Athol were arrested and charged with attempted murder and unlawful detention.

They were refused bail ahead of an appearance in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Police said their investigations were continuing and urged anyone with dashcam footage of the attack to come forward.
