SA Police have arrested a 35-year-old man and charged him with seven counts of stalking as well as rape and unlawful sexual intercourse.

It is alleged the crimes occurred across the Adelaide metro area and that, on most occasions, he approached and met victims through online platforms.

He allegedly targeted women mostly aged in their 30s over nine years, from 2012 to the present.

Police said they included “various well-known dating sites”, and that he also sent social media requests to victims.

He was arrested by detectives from the SA Police Northern District and charged with seven counts of stalking, rape and unlawful sexual intercourse.

The man is expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Police will make an application to refuse his bail.

“Police would like to remind the public to be conscious of their safety and cautious of the information they share online particularly when they are contacted by people they do not know.”
