The AFL Integrity Unit is investigating an allegation of racism involving Adelaide Crows linchpin Taylor Walker.

- The AFL Integrity Unit is investigation an allegation of racism
- The AFL and the Adelaide Crows have declined to comment
The allegation emerged after the Crows reserves side’s match against North Adelaide in the SANFL on July 17.
It is understood the allegation relates to a comment about North Adelaide player Robbie Young — an Aboriginal man who used to play for AFL side St Kilda.
Walker did not play in the reserves match but addressed the Crows players at quarter time.
In a statement, the AFL said it “strongly condemns racial vilification in the football community and in the wider community.
“If there is any complaint under the Peek rule it is subject to strict confidentiality throughout the process and no public comment can be provided until a process is completed.”
The Adelaide Crows declined to comment.
North Adelaide Football Club chief executive Greg Edwards said the club was supporting Robbie Young.
“We were all unaware until yesterday,” Mr Edwards said.
“We reached out to Robbie and he was unaware as well.
“We’ve told him that should anything eventuate, he’s got our full support — just like any of our players do.”
