Police have charged a teenager following investigations into a vehicle fire in Redcliffe earlier this week.
Just before 5.10pm on Sunday 25 October, the teen allegedly unlawfully gained access to a car park attached to a business on Gomersall Street and entered a Suzuki Vitara parked at the premises.
It is further alleged a second unknown person then arrived at the scene, and the pair moved the vehicle a short distance before it was set alight.
The Suzuki was destroyed in the blaze and when police and emergency services arrived a short time later, a crime scene was declared.
Following subsequent investigations, police have charged a 17-year-old Tallebudgera boy with one count each of arson, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and trespass.
Investigations to locate the second person remain ongoing.
Anyone with relevant information or vision from the area at the time is urged to contact police.
