Police are appealing for information following a serious assault at Kelso yesterday, 17 October.

Initial investigations indicate between 6pm and 9pm, a 41-year-old Kelso man was assaulted by unknown offenders at an address on Ruby Round. 

Police were called to Townsville University Hospital about 9.45pm after the Kelso man self-presented to hospital.

The 41-year-old man sustained significant head injuries.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have relevant information, CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
