Townsville Water Police are appealing for public assistance after a vessel was located at Horseshoe Bay, Magnetic Island.

The boat (pictured) appears to be a 16-foot green and white fibreglass ski boat, fitted with an outboard.

It was found at approximately 5:30pm this afternoon, 10 October.

An immediate search of the area was conducted, however no persons associated with the vessel have been located.

Anyone who recognises the boat and may have information in relation to the owner and their whereabouts is urged to contact Police.
