Police are appealing for information and witnesses following a hit and run traffic crash at Cranbrook yesterday, 6 October.

Investigations indicate about 11.20am, a white 2014 Holden Commodore and a maroon 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle were travelling west along Charles Street, near Nathan Street, when the Holden allegedly struck the back of the motorcycle.

The driver of the Holden left the scene prior to police arrival.

The motorcycle rider, an 85-year-old Kirwan man was transported to Townsville University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police have since spoken to the 57-year-old driver of the Holden and investigations remain ongoing.

Investigators are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash or were at the scene at the time to come forward.

Police are also appealing for any further information, CCTV or dashcam footage that could assist their investigations.
