A 37-year-old man and 22-year-old woman have been charged in relation to alleged property and weapons offences across Northern New South Wales and Darling Downs District.
It will be alleged the pair stole a 2013 Toyota LandCruiser from a North Branch address on 25 August, before breaking into a shed at a Pikedale property on 31 August and stealing a firearm.
On 4 September, the pair are alleged to have broken into a home at Goldfields, where they threatened an 82-year-old woman before leaving the scene.
The woman was not physically injured.
The stolen Toyota was located at Toms Close in Goondiwindi on 6 September.
Police will further allege the pair then stole a Mazda 6 the same day from a property in Goondiwindi.
On 1 October police were called to a Pikedale Road address at Palgrave following reports of an abandoned vehicle.
When officers arrived, they allegedly located two people attempting to refuel the stolen Mazda.
A 37-year-old Boggabilla man, and a 22-year-old Goondiwindi woman were arrested and taken into custody at the scene.
The man has been charged with a total of 26 offences including 10 counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence, eight counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, two counts each of serious assault police and wilful damage, and one count each of unlawful possession of category C weapon, possessing dangerous drugs, enter dwelling with intent, and receiving tainted property.
He is due to reappear in Goondiwindi Magistrates Court on 7 October.
The woman has been charged with nine offences including two counts of unlawful use of motor vehicles aircraft or vessels – use used/intended for indictable offence in the night in company and obstruct police, as well as one count each of enter premises and commit indictable offence by break, unlawful possession of category C weapon, possessing dangerous drugs, enter dwelling with intent by break at night in company and wilful damage.
She is due to reappear in Goondiwindi Magistrates Court on 11 November.
