Investigators from Rockhampton Criminal Investigation Branch are seeking public assistance following the theft of a vehicle from the Yeppoon area on Friday, 11 September.
The light blue Hyundai i30 bearing New South Wales registration BT69BX, was reportedly stolen from a caravan park on the Scenic Highway, Kinka Beach, at approximately 1am.
Around 5am, emergency services were called to a vehicle fire involving the Hyundai on Gavial Gracemere Road, Gracemere, near the intersection of Allen Road.
It is alleged the vehicle had been deliberately set alight.
Officers are appealing for any sightings, CCTV footage, or dash camera footage of anyone associated with or the movements of the vehicle to contact police.
