Police investigating a house fire near Monto yesterday afternoon, 10 September, are appealing for witnesses and vision that can assist with the investigation.

At approximately 4.22pm, police and emergency services were called to the Burnett Highway at Tellebang following reports a single storey dwelling had caught fire.

The road was temporarily closed as a precaution while fire crews worked to swiftly extinguish the blaze.

The property was destroyed as a result of the fire. 

A crime scene has since been declared, and investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area between 2.30pm and 4.30pm, and has relevant dashcam vision or CCTV, to come forward.
