Police have charged a woman following the alleged theft of a vehicle from the Gold Coast last night, 29 August.
It will be alleged that at about 9.10pm, the woman stole a blue Audi parked on Waterways Drive, Main Beach.
It will be further alleged that a short time later, she was observed driving dangerously westbound on Ashgrove Avenue before colliding with three parked vehicles at 11.31pm.
The Shorncliffe woman and a man allegedly fled the scene before the woman was arrested a short time later.
The man remains outstanding.
The woman was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with serious injuries.
She has since been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle at night in company, drive without due care and attention, driving of a motor vehicle without a driver’s licence, enter premises and commit indictable offence.
The woman is due to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court, tomorrow, 31 August.
Police are urging anyone with dashcam or CCTV of the incident to come forward.
Investigations are ongoing.
