Police have charged a teenage girl following a wounding incident at Charters Towers last night, 29 August.
Shortly after 8pm, police attended a business on Church Street following reports that a 19-year-old woman had been injured.
Officers located the woman with what are alleged to be a number of stab wounds.
She was transported to Charters Towers Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A 14-year-old Richmond Hill girl, who is known to the 19-year-old woman, has been charged with one count each of wounding and assaults occasioning bodily harm.
Bail has been refused and she is due to appear in Townsville Children’s Court on 31 August.
