A 20-year-old male constable from the Central Region has been served with a notice to appear in relation to alleged driving of a private motor vehicle while over the general alcohol limit.

The member has been charged with the offence of drink driving, allegedly committed while off duty.

The member has been stood down from the Queensland Police Service and is expected to appear in the Yeppoon Magistrates Court tomorrow, 27 August.
