The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a man died in a traffic crash at East Barron yesterday, 16 August.
Emergency services were called to Gillies Range Road at 3pm following reports a black Harley Davidson motorcycle had collided head on with a silver SsangYong Rexton.
The rider, a 64-year-old Parramatta Park man died at the scene.
His pillion passenger, a 50-year-old woman, was transported to Cairns Hospital with serious injuries.
The front passenger of the vehicle sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash.
The driver and two rear passengers in the vehicle were not physically injured.
Investigations into the circumstances are ongoing and police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has dashcam vision to come forward.
