Police have charged two men following investigations into a stolen vehicle reported on Saturday, 8 August.

It will be alleged around 12.40pm, a 38-year-old Bridgeman Downs man attended a business on South Pine Road, Brendale, to test drive a silver Toyota Landcruiser before fleeing in the vehicle.

Following investigations, officers executed a search warrant at an address on Alberton Road, Alberton at about 3.30pm. Upon police arrival, the allegedly stolen Landcruiser rammed a police vehicle, with two men located inside the Landcruiser. No one was physically injured as a result of the collision.

Police conducted a search of the property and allegedly located four other stolen vehicles, including a black BMW, a black Ford Ranger, a black Audi RS, a grey Toyota Landcruiser and a box trailer.

The black BMW was allegedly stolen from a Resource Street, Parkinson address on 12 May.

The black Ford Ranger was allegedly stolen from a Surrey Street, Cornubia address on 28 June.

The black Audi RS was allegedly stolen from a Bahrs Scrub Road, Bahrs Scrub address between 20 July and 21 July.

The grey Toyota Landcruiser was allegedly stolen from a Glenlinton Street, Holland Park address between 6 August and 7 August.

Police also allegedly seized a taser, drugs and drug utensil.

A 38-year-old Bridgeman Downs man has since been charged with one count each of damaging emergency vehicle when operating motor vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and possessing dangerous drugs.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to reappear in Brisbane Drug and Alcohol Court on 13 August.

A 49-year-old Regents Park man has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, unlawful possession of weapons category R and possess utensils or pipes.

He is expected to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on 25 August.

Investigations remain ongoing.

With a strong focus on crime prevention, police will be highly visible as they prevent, disrupt and investigate offending, with particular emphasis on unlawful use, robbery and unlawful entry.

The operation will be locally led and centrally coordinated, leveraging the knowledge and experience of officers who know their communities best.
