A man has been charged following armed robbery and dangerous driving offences in the Willowvale and Stanthorpe region.
It will be alleged the 28-year-old Willowvale man was armed with a firearm when he gained entry into a shed at a property in Silverwood, Warwick at around 10pm on 12 August.
The owner of the property attempted to confront the man when it is alleged, he discharged the firearm before stealing a quadbike from the property.
The quadbike was located abandoned on Blake Road a short time later.
Police later located the man in Stanthorpe around 11am on 13 August, allegedly driving dangerously and at high speeds on the New England Highway in a Skoda station wagon, stolen from a Kumbia address.
The Skoda later stopped on Brown Road in Willowvale shortly after 2pm where specialist officers took the man into custody. It is further alleged two firearms were located in the vehicle.
He has been charged with 10 offences, including two counts each of unlawful possession of weapons category D/H/R weapon and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
He has also been charged with one count each of armed robbery, enter premises and commit indictable offence, enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, stealing, possess dangerous drugs, evasion, and unlawful use of motor vehicle.
He will appear at Warwick Magistrates Court today, 14 August.
