Police investigating an armed robbery in Rothwell early this morning are appealing for assistance from members of the public.
Initial investigations indicate around 5am, a man was walking on Morris Road when he was approached from behind by a male and female.
It is alleged the pair assaulted the man and threatening him with a knife while demanding property, before fleeing the scene.
A 55-year-old Rothwell man sustained minor injuries to his hand and was taken to Redcliffe Hospital in a stable condition.
Anyone who may have been in the area at the time and has relevant vision is urged to contact police.
