Police have charged a 46-year-old Beaconsfield man following investigations into a break and enter at East Mackay on 18 July.

Police will allege between 2pm and 4.30pm on 18 July, the 46-year-old man unlawfully entered a McIntyre Street retirement facility and stole multiple items from the residence, including jewellery, identification, and cash belonging to a 95-year-old woman.

On 28 July, police executed a search warrant at a Bellavista Court address in Beaconsfield and located several items of jewellery.

The 46-year-old Beaconsfield man was charged with enter dwelling and commit, and possessing dangerous drugs.

He has been remanded in custody and due to reappear before Mackay Magistrates Court on 3 August.
