The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash at Ripley overnight, 28 July.

Initial investigations indicate that just before 8:50pm, a 2014 white Ford Ranger and a 2025 blue Hyundai i30 have collided on the Centenary Motorway near the Ripley Road roundabout.

The driver of the Hyundai, a 35-year-old Plainland man, was declared deceased at the scene.

The single passenger of the Hyundai, a 30-year-old Plainland woman, was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver and single occupant of the Ford, an 18-year-old South Ripley man, was also transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The Ipswich Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the circumstances of the crash and is appealing to anyone with relevant information or dashcam/CCTV footage to come forward.
