The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a single vehicle fatal traffic crash at Tamborine Mountain at approximately 8.30pm on 24 July.
Initial investigations indicate a motorcycle hit a steep vertical embankment, causing the rider to be thrown from the bike.
The rider, a 22-year-old Elanora man , sustained critical injuries and was treated at the scene. He was declared deceased a short time later.
Investigations are ongoing, and anyone with relevant dashcam vision is urged to contact police.
