The Ethical Standards Command is investigating the death of a man at Highgate Hill on 23 July.

At approximately 12.36pm, police attended a mental health incident at a Colville Street address.

The man was subsequently taken into custody and transported to hospital, where he was later declared deceased.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the man’s death.

This matter remains under investigation by the Ethical Standards Command on behalf of the State Coroner, with independent oversight by the Crime and Corruption Commission.
