The Toowoomba Forensic Crash Unit is renewing its appeal for witnesses as investigations continue into a serious single-vehicle traffic crash in Harristown on Saturday, 19 July.

Emergency services were called to West Street around 2am following reports a white 2015 Hyundai i30 had left the roadway and collided with a power pole.

The passenger, a 24-year-old Darling Heights man, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Toowoomba Hospital.

The driver, a 19-year-old Harristown man, was also taken to Toowoomba Hospital with minor injuries.

As investigations continue, police are particularly appealing to anyone who was at the scene in the immediate aftermath of the crash to come forward. Investigators are keen to speak with motorists or members of the public who stopped to assist.

Police are also seeking anyone who witnessed the Hyundai travelling north on West Street prior to the crash, or who may have relevant CCTV or dashcam footage from the area between 1.45am and 2.05am.
