Police are investigating after a 26-year-old man was assaulted and his vehicle stolen during a robbery in Labrador this morning, 21 July.

Around 1am, three unknown males entered a ride-share vehicle at Marine Parade and forced the driver to exit the 2018 White Toyota Corolla before chasing him on foot.

The driver was then struck, and the three offenders stole his mobile phone and vehicle before fleeing the scene.

The vehicle was located by police at 1.06am on Bath Street at Labrador.

The driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital.

Officers are appealing to anyone with relevant information or CCTV to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
