Detectives from Charleville Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) have today, 16 July, extradited a 71-year-old man for alleged indecent treatment of a child offences.
It will be alleged the offences occurred between January 2007 and March 2009 at various addresses in Charleville.
The 71-year-old man has been charged with two counts of indecent deal with a child, and one count each of indecent treatment of children under 16 years, and indecent treatment of children under 12 years.
He is due to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow, 17 July.
Detectives continue to appeal for anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Inspector Andrew Trenerry said there may be more victims or people with more information to assist investigations.
“Remember that reporting sexual offences against children is mandatory, and not doing so is a criminal offence,” Detective Inspector Trenerry said.
“Anyone who may have had a similar experience is urged to report it police – any victims will be listened to and supported.”
