Police have charged a man following investigations into an alleged robbery at Norville in the early hours of yesterday morning, 11 July.
It is alleged around 6.20am, a man approached a vehicle parked on the intersection of Ritchie Street and Thabeban Street, physically assaulted a 71-year-old man in the vehicle, and stole a screwdriver from him.
The vehicle owner sustained minor injuries.
A 47-year-old Avenell Heights man has been charged with one count each of enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, deprivation of liberty, robbery using personal violence and possession of a knife in a public place.
The man is due to appear before Bundaberg Magistrates Court on 13 July.
Police are appealing to anyone with information or relevant CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage from the area to contact police.
