A teenage boy has died following a traffic crash at Laceys Creek, near Dayboro, this afternoon, 12 July.

Around 12.15pm, a Talaria Sting, an electric dirt bike, collided with a white Holden Colorado travelling in the opposite direction on Laceys Creek Road.

The electric dirt bike rider, a 17-year-old Rothwell boy, sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The Holden driver, a 55-year-old Laceys Creek man, was not injured.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations are ongoing.

Investigators are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has vision leading up to the incident to come contact police.
