The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash at Mulara, between Rockhampton and Yeppoon, this morning, 11 July.
Initial investigations indicate that shortly before 4am, a white Polestar 2 was travelling west on Yeppoon Road when it collided head-on with an eastbound brown Ford Territory wagon.
The 29-year-old Zilzie woman driving the Ford was critically injured and was declared deceased at the scene.
The Polestar driver, a 23-year-old Yeppoon man, was transported to Rockhampton Hospital with minor injuries.
There were no passengers in either vehicle.
Anyone who may have seen the white Polestar driving on Yeppoon Rod prior to the crash is urged to come forward.
