The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a serious multi-vehicle traffic crash at Noosaville this afternoon, 8 July.

Initial investigations indicate around 3:20pm, a grey Nissan Pathfinder collided with the rear of a white Toyota Yaris in the eastbound lane on Beckmans Road.

The Pathfinder veered into the opposing lane and collided head on with a black Suzuki Alto.

The driver of the Alto, a 48-year-old Tewantin woman, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Princess Alexandra Hospital where she remains in a critical but stable condition.

The drivers of the Pathfinder, a 44-year-old Black Mountain woman, and the driver of the Yaris, a 74-year-old Cooroy woman, sustained minor injuries.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.

Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have seen the vehicles leading up to the incident, the crash or who may have relevant CCTV or dashcam vision to come forward.
