Police are appealing for public assistance as part of investigations into an alleged assault at West End this morning, 6 July.
Around 6.20am, an 81-year-old man was allegedly verbally abused and assaulted at a park on Hill End Terrace by an unknown man.
Police believe a man described as in his sixties, short grey hair, 160-180cm tall, wearing shorts and a jacket, walking a medium to large dog on a long lead may be able to assist with investigations.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have mobile phone footage or other vision of the incident, to come forward.
Investigations are ongoing.
