Police have charged a 17-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy following investigations into a series of alleged property offences in Wynnum West and Capalaba on 1 July. 

It will be alleged that between 2.10am and 2.20am, the two boys attended a Wirra Circuit address in Wynnum West, where a stolen blue Toyota Fortuner was used to ram a garage door before the pair entered the property and fled. 

Police will further allege that at approximately 10.45pm the same day, the pair attended a Fanfare Place address in Capalaba and attempted to gain entry to a dwelling while armed with a knife. 

Officers later located the stolen Toyota Fortuner at approximately 10.38pm in Capalaba and arrested the two occupants. 

A 17-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, attempted enter dwelling while armed in company at night, wilful damage, trespass, and face masked or disguised with intent to commit an indictable offence. 

They are due to appear before the Cleveland Children’s Court today.
