Police have charged a 25-year-old man following a traffic incident in Springfield on 28 April.
Around 10.25pm the man was travelling along Panorama Drive in a Holden Colorado utility when he allegedly crashed into a Toyota Corolla parked on the side of the road.
Police will further allege the man then drove off from the scene before abandoning his vehicle on Greenway Circuit and fleeing on foot.
The man was tracked by PD Iggy to Kingfisher Street where officers located him hiding behind a fence in parkland.
He was arrested and charged with one count each of failure to supply specimen of breath for analysis and driving without a licence.
He is due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on 20 May.
Investigations continue.
