The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a two-vehicle traffic crash in Clifton on Saturday, 25 April.

Police attended Gatton Clifton Road around 5.40pm following reports of a crash between a Ford Ranger utility and a Toyota Kluger station wagon.

The driver of the Ford, a 32-year-old Byron Bay man, sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Princess Alexandra Hospital by helicopter, where he remains in a critical condition.

A 31-year-old Nerang man who was a passenger in the vehicle did not sustain serious injuries.

The driver of the Toyota, a 73-year-old man, and a 65-year-old female passenger both from Clifton were transported to Toowoomba Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Anyone with relevant dashcam or CCTV footage is urged to contact police.
