Police have charged two men following an investigation into firearm, vehicle and drug offences at Chances Plain near Chinchilla on 22 April.
Around 7.40am officers responded to reports of a stolen 2009 Toyota Hilux and trailer parked on Horswoods Road.
When officers from Chinchilla, Dalby and the South West Tactical Crime Squad arrived on scene they allegedly located two men asleep inside the vehicle where they were arrested and taken into custody.
During a subsequent search of the vehicle, police will allege a firearm, ammunition, and a quantity of methylamphetamine were located.
The Toyota Hilux was stolen from a Jandowae Road property at Dalby on April 17, while the trailer was stolen from a Warra Marnhill Road property at Jimbour West on 20 April.
A 30-year-old Kingston man has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possess category A firearm, possess explosive, possess magazine, possess dangerous drugs, possess tainted property, possess Utensils, stealing
and fail to dispose of syringe or needle.
He has been remanded in custody to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on 27 May.
A 19-year-old Dalby man has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possess category A firearm, possess explosive, possess magazine, possess dangerous drugs, possess tainted property, possess utensils and fail to dispose of syringe or needle.
He has been remanded in custody to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on 23 April.
Investigations continue.
