Police have charged two people following investigations into alleged property and unlawful use of a motor vehicle offences in Upper Mount Gravatt on 21 April.
At 9.30am, police were called to Dawson Road following reports of a stolen vehicle.
It will be alleged a man attempted to gain entry to properties in the area before entering a Dawson Road address and attempting to steal a white Mercedes-Benz.
Officers attended shortly after, at which time the man allegedly reversed the vehicle into a police car stopped in front of the residence before fleeing on foot.
He was subsequently located and taken into custody a short time later.
A second man was also taken into custody for allegedly obstructing police during the initial response.
A 25-year-old Loganlea man has been charged with one count each of enter dwelling with intent, robbery and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
A 28-year-old Acacia Ridge man has been charged with one count of obstruct police.
Both have been remanded in custody and are due to appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court today, 22 April.
