Police have charged two teenage boys following the armed robbery of two boys at Broadbeach last night, 15 April.
Around 9.15pm, a 16-year-old boy and 14-year-old boy were outside a fast-food restaurant on Australia Avenue, when they were approached by two boys who were not known to them.
It will be alleged that the pair demanded the 16-year-old and 14-year-old’s electric-bikes while threatening them with a knife.
The pair then allegedly fled on the stolen e-bikes.
Police were notified and conducted patrols of the area.
Subsequent investigations resulted in one boy being arrested on Queen Street and a second boy arrested on Jane Street at Southport a short time later.
Both stolen e-bikes were recovered.
A 13-year-old Slacks Creek boy and a 13-year-old Logan Central boy were each charged with two counts of armed robbery.
Both boys are scheduled to appear at the Southport Childrens Court today, 16 April.
